LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH

May 24, the Metro Toronto Convention Center was packed with Canadian VIPs, Expatriates, Diplomats and some 100 nurses from the Princess Margaret Hospital who were being honored that night. The founder of the Brazilian Carnaval Ball in Toronto, the late Anna de Souza's last wish was to make the nurses the recipients and beneficiary of her successful 42-year old fund raising event.

The Brazilian Carnaval Ball of Toronto is the largest carnaval outside of Brazil with over 80 Star Performers coming from Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Among the beautiful Brazilians who participated in this year's ball were, Miss Brazil and her entourage, Valquira Ribeiro-Ms. Sao Paulo, Juan Garcia-Mr. World 2007, Lucas Gil- Mr. Brasil 2007 (1st runner-up Mr. World) and Alan Bianco Martini-Mr. International 2007. QB participated and donned her Vai Vai costume of white plumas and Swarovski Crystals.

This year's ball was dedicated in memory of Anna who passed away in September 2007; and to show their appreciation and love for Anna, her family, friends, sponsors and guests donated a net worth $22M. Indeed, everyone had a grand time and everyone promised to follow Anna de Souza's motto...LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH.
